MetaBharat is an immersive audiovisual performance that reimagines the Indian epic Mahabharat through AI-generated imagery and generative sound. Structured in three acts—Reality, Artificiality, and Hyperreality—the piece guides audiences from traditional depictions to surreal, dynamic reinterpretations.
Set across two large projection screens in a V-shaped formation, the visuals evolve from archival Indian art into AI-modulated forms and abstract hyperreal landscapes. The performance explores the tension between heritage and technology, blending ancient mythology with digital aesthetics.
The sound design combines resampled Indian classical instruments with electronic genres like UK Bass, techno, and ambient, all processed through Ableton Live. The result is a multisensory journey that fuses cultural memory with futuristic expression—questioning what is real, what is artificial, and what lies beyond.
